A Mother's Prayer You went from my womb to my heart So it's as if you never left. Yet, I mourn what I can't touch For they took your very breath. In silence I wonder And I grieve what might have been I long to hold you and to kiss you So you can feel my love from within I begged GOD for HIS forgiveness Yet, I know you`re in HIS loving hands I pray that I'll know you one day in Heaven And my decision you'll understand I wasn't able to offer you A life where you could thrive The thought of having you live with pain Only ate me up inside Angels were better suited To take you under their wings And bring you to a place Where you can laugh and play and sing Do I have the right to ask of you A prayer I hope you'll heed? Help GOD look after your darling brothers And fulfill their every need. When my time here on earth is through And no longer will we be parted I pray that you'll receive me too So we can pick up where we started. Forever in my heart, Mommy (Renee M.) |
